(First off I don't like blogging bout the problems of my dance life but I now realize that the key word in dance life is LIFE and by me blogging I am giving you an insight into my life other words my home life, social life, and dance life.)

On my way to being droped off to an rehearsal I had, coming from an audition, I was talking to some of my homies that mainly take class at Dance 411 here in atlanta and we were jokin around laughing bout who goes to the better studio knowing that us 4 really don't care about this so called "Beef" between the two studios. We come to the conclusion that basically (in a nutshell) no matter how hard any dance studio promotes different dancers are drawn to different studios. Gotta Dance Atlanta Dancers look down upon Dance 411 dancers and vice versa when really people don't know that there are some people that go to either studio because of distance to home, class prices, number of students in class, and hundres of more reasons. My friend said it best "Certain people are ment at certain places." With that being said I believe that this fight for whos the better dancer because of the studio you go to is just dumb lol. I seen better dancers at DANCE 101 and Rhythm Dance Center that will murder some dancers that are signed to Bloc and Xcel right now. As I sit back and type this blog I laugh at people that say Dance 411 is the best or Gotta Dance is the best and are willing to put their life on it LITERALY lol. Ah well there is really nothing I can do but just vent and say how I feel and hope I got a following of at least even 2 or 3 people that feel what I'm saying. (LIGHTBULB) Ima let this marinate fa a min and then pull up the blog that on of my favorite choreographers put on her web site. Not gonna say who but it makes alot of sense. I'm Out

guess I'll be the first to comment, your 100% right. I'll say that the DANCERS you speak of need to be specified. I dont think its so much of a beef much. I think its just a conflict of opinion. From my stand point the dancers at GDA are very much focused on being the best dancers they can be as well as a package to sell. Most Instructors believe that GDA has had a more professional environment than 411 as far as class etticate and standards go. which is why some poeple frown on some of the 411 instructors. Others frown on the 411 because of the Bloc south Agency attached to it. What I suggest s anyone who really wants to know WHY the 2 beef should do some research ad get to know the people including the staff at both places. I know much of the reasons but to those who think this beef is as simple as pety jealousy, you should find the simple truths of the situation before you make judgement. for me I have come not to take sides. bu to work with my generation on building this industry up to be as profittable as LA dancers have made it. hope it helps, IM putting up more later.....
ReplyDeleteMy thing is wha ever hapend to the dancers/studio owners in the past is the past. I have literally had ppl try to INFLUENCE me to not talk to 411 dancers since im at GDA and vice versa. Studios are trying to accomplish the same thing weather its 411 or GDA and both studios students are serious about becoming dancers equally (I can say that DEFINATLY seeing as I have taught at 411 and worked at GDA) and both set of instructors are JUST as professional as the next so I guess I should say the "Beef" has been caused by Sob stories of the dancers of the past. Granted my EXP at 411 isn't all that great GDA has had its handfull of faults as well.
